Carbon Facial

Carbon laser facial

A carbon laser facial — often called a carbon peel — is a laser treatment for the face, and for the face and neck together. A layer of carbon lotion is applied to the skin and then treated with the laser. A consultation is required before treatment so we can check your skin and suitability, and carry out a patch test.

How it works

What to expect

These are the general steps. Your technician will explain exactly what's involved for you at your consultation.

1

Consultation

We talk through your skin, what you'd like achieving and your medical history, so we can check that a carbon facial is suitable for you.

2

Patch test

A patch test forms part of your consultation, so we can see how your skin responds before a full session goes ahead.

3

Treatment

A layer of carbon lotion is applied to the skin, then the laser is passed over it. The session is quick and you can get on with your day afterwards.

4

Review

We look at how your skin has responded after the session and decide together whether another is needed, and how to space them.

Before your session

There are a few things to avoid beforehand — sunbeds, sunbathing and tanning creams for 30 days, and perfumed or bleaching products on the skin in the run-up. Full pre-care guidance is on our Consultation page.

After your session

You'll be given aftercare advice for your skin at your appointment. General laser aftercare — keeping the area clean, out of the sun and well moisturised — is on our Aftercare page.
