Aftercare & booking policy

How to look after yourself after your appointment — and everything you need to know about booking.

Booking

Booking & cancellation policy

  • With all bookings a non-refundable deposit is required. This is 20% of the booking cost and will be taken off the appointment total.
  • To pay this deposit you must activate your booking via the Fresha email you will receive when booking. Until this is done your appointment is not confirmed.
  • 48 hours notice is to be given when wanting to move or cancel your appointment to be able to move it to another date. Reminder emails and text messages are sent 72 hours before to give you enough time to rearrange.
  • If you try to cancel or move your appointment with less than 48 hours a new deposit will be required to rebook.
  • No shows will be charged at full price because it gives me no time to fill the appointment and that is the price of my time.

After Laser

After your laser treatment

  • Follow the aftercare advice given to you at your appointment.
  • Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds on the treated area.
  • Use SPF on exposed treated areas.
  • Avoid heat treatments, saunas and hot baths as advised.
  • Contact the clinic if you have any concerns.

After Laser

Laser tattoo removal aftercare

Immediate aftercare

  • Keep it clean and dry, use non-scented soap and warm water. Dry with paper towels thoroughly.
  • If it is feeling hot apply a cold compress to the area for 10 minutes to reduce the heat.
  • Limit physical activity.

Long term aftercare

  • Do not pick or scratch the area as this can cause scarring which makes removal harder.
  • Keep it well moisturised — I recommend Bio-Oil 10 days after or when any blisters have gone. This helps to reduce scarring and also helps with the removal process by stimulating the skin, producing more white blood cells.
  • Stay hydrated — a dehydrated body doesn't heal as well.

Please feel free to message me with any problems.

After Piercing

Piercing aftercare

What to expect straight after a piercing

  • Swelling, pain, tenderness, discharge of clear/cloudy fluid and maybe some bleeding — this is all completely normal.

How to care for your new piercing

  • Wash your hands before cleaning it to prevent bad bacteria or infection.
  • Clean your piercing 1–2 times a week with a saline solution. You can make your own with sea salt and a shot of boiled water — allow it to cool before using a clean cotton bud. Do not re-dip the cotton bud; use one per entrance and exit hole of the piercing.
  • Showers help keep your piercing clean due to the steam of the water, but please dry them thoroughly after using a dry cotton bud or hairdryer on a cool setting.
  • Do not over-clean your piercing as you can wash away the good bacteria sent to heal the piercing.
  • Healing time for most piercings is 6–12 weeks. Piercings that require downsizing of the jewellery — this is not included in the original price.

Please do not hesitate to message at any time during the healing process if you need advice.
